We can all be out of balance every now and then, but what if your compressor becomes, well unbalanced? This is not a good situation to find your equipment to be in. So, here at Seward Refrigeration we can offer the service in Leeds of having a vibration analysis run on your compressor.
So, what does this mean?
Well, your compressor needs to be balanced in order to perform efficiently, because your machine is moving/shaking whilst it is running, as well as wear and tear, it can move slightly from its original setting. Whilst you cannot see this with your eyes, we will set up a monitoring instrument called an accelerometer in several areas on the compressor so that we can then monitor the machine in action and check for any faults.

Once the readings have been taken, they will be compared to previous readings and a report will be generated as to whether there are any alterations required. By making sure your compressor is “happy” and still balanced, this will mean that you being proactive against any possible problems further down the line which could be costly due to the loss of the compressor.
We recommend that by being proactive and having a vibration analysis every 6 months, this will save you from a costly experience and any downtime disaster to your production.
